In November 2006, I contacted William's (the truck driver involved in the accident) senior pastor. I wanted to share some writings and DVDs of Katie with William. The pastor was so appreciative and shared with me that just a couple weeks prior, his congregation had taken a special offering in Wendi's and Katie's name. They sent it to Rockford Master's Commission (RMC) to set up a scholarship fund in their names.
Since that time, others have contributed to the Wendi Watson/Katie Prosapio Scholarship Fund. These scholarships are distributed to incoming students who qualify for financial assistance and would not be able to attend RMC otherwise.
